About Our Church

Gospel Mission Ministries, Inc. was established in 1967 and incorporated in the year of 1973 by the late Bishop Rosa Mae Curtis. We are a community-based, not-for-profit, 501 ©3 organization whose focus is to tend to the needs of the people by offering them a place to worship and an environment for growth, encouragement, and learning; especially to those who contend with internal and external forces that inhibit them from functioning at full potential. To associate ourselves for the purposes of founding and continuing one or more churches of Divine Worship and Religious Observances according to the Christian Faith.

          •Spread the Word of the Gospel through the seminars, television, radio and other forms of mass media for the purpose of educating the individual .

          •To establish and maintain for its members and friends a place to worship.

​

          •To ordain our ministers, set up Bible Colleges, institutions for the training of its clergy and lay people, grant such titles as the Church may find necessary according to its constitution and by-laws.

          •Acquire cemeteries, homes for the elderly and orphans and a denominational publishing house for its literature.

​

          •To promote the teaching of the Christian Faith and the development of the Christian character.

​

          •Procure by all lawful means of support of the same; to buy vacant land, buildings, alter, develop, build or repair same for the use of the church and dispose of the same when no longer needed.

          •To hold and operate such property which shall come into possession of the church; sell, assign, transfer or otherwise dispose of such property that may be acquired or held by this church, all being done under the provisions of the Religious Corporation Law of the State of New York.
